Baby Dedication

Where and When Is the Baby Dedication Service?

Baby Dedication Services are scheduled throughout the year; every couple of months and will be during a Sunday 10 a.m. service, unless otherwise scheduled. You will need to be at the church 15 minutes early to confirm with the Pastor your arrival. Please arrive no later than 9:45 a.m.

The worship service begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and the Baby Dedication portion of the service is subject to being held anytime at the beginning, after praise and worship or even possibly near the end of the service.

Can I Invite Friends and Family Members?

Yes. In fact, as part of your proclamation, we encourage you to invite the baby's grandparents, your friends, additional family members, co-workers, etc. to share in your dedication of your child/children to the Lord Jesus. Please encourage all attendees to also arrive by 9:45 AM

What Things Do I Need To Do For My Baby/Child in Preparation of the Service?

  • You will need to fill out the form below at least one (1) week before the service.

  • Invite your family & friends you wish to attend.

  • You may dress your baby/child in regular clothes or any special attire you wish to use.

  • It is recommended that your baby/child to have had a recent diaper change before the service.

  • It is recommended that you have with them any soothing toy, blanket or pacifier to help the baby/child remain calm during the Baby Dedication.

Keep in mind that babies are unpredictable. Some may sleep during the dedication, and others might cry. Please don't feel stressed or embarrassed by it; these situations only make the baby dedications more special and enjoyable.

Why Should I Dedicate My Baby/Child to the Lord?

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

-- Psalm 127:3

Children are a gift from God. As believers we are called to recognize that children belong first and foremost to God. God in His goodness gives children as gifts to parents.

The not only have the awesome responsibility of caring for this gift, but also the wonderful privilege of enjoying the gift. Because children belong to God and are given by grace as gifts to parents, it is only proper and appropriate that children be dedicated back to the God.
